OMAX 40X-2000X Lab LED Binocular Compound Microscope with Double Layer Mechanical Stage

** Including 100 Glass Blank Slides & Covers & 100 Lens Cleaning Paper **

This Omax 40X-2000X lab LED binocular compound microscope with double layer mechanical stage is perfect for students of all ages.  The construction of the Omax compound microscope is mostly metal, which makes it very sturdy. The plastic parts, which include the buttons, switches and knobs are all fine, and therefore do not compromise the structure and stability of the microscope.

Being a LED lit microscope, it is particularly great for the younger students since this allows them to avoid being burnt by touching a hot halogen light source. Moreover, it lasts much longer as compared to the typical halogen bulbs, which is an added advantage.  The other benefit of the low power light source is the fact that it is great for the viewing of live organisms in addition to giving enough power to view any other type of specimen.

In terms of magnification value, the Omax compound goes up to 2000x (8 levels of magnification (40X-80X-100X-200X-400X-800X-1000X-2000X) with the 10x and 20x eyepiece, which means that this microscope can be used to virtually view anything. As such, the Omax compound microscope is an excellent choice for high school and university level viewing purposes.

This set also has in place a double layer mechanical stage (stain resistant), which allows the user full movement of the sample for scanning purposes. Therefore, rather than simply having the clips move around the stage, the entire stage easily moves in the X, Y and Z dimensions.

This will allow the slide to remain in place whichever way the user is trying to locate the point of interest. This is one of the advantages this particular microscope has over others in the market.

In addition to a sliding binocular viewing head, this microscope also comes with four achromatic objectives (4X, 10X, 40X(S), 100X(S, Oil) as well as both a coaxial coarse and fine focus knob.

Depending on the user, a USB digital camera can also be connected for the purposes of recording the specimen under observation. This can then be easily saved on to the computer as either a video clip or in form of pictures.

However, it is important to note that the USB digital camera is sold separately. With all these additional features, this microscope can effectively be used for educational purposes, demonstration and medical labs among others purposes.

One of the other interesting features of this microscope is the stage upward moving lock, which protects both the objective lenses as well as the slides from damage and breakages.

Added Value

Conclusion

The Omax 40X-2000X lab LED binocular compound microscope with double layer mechanical stage has in place a number of unique features, which makes it ideal for all levels of students and teachers (both amateurs and professionals).  For instance, the model is designed to be adjustable to individual users' specifications.
